Dr Jonathan Pham is a specialist respiratory physician with interest in a range of lung diseases including asthma, COPD, hayfever, chronic cough and lung cancer.

Dr Pham trained in respiratory medicine at the Alfred Hospital and has completed a postgraduate Research Fellowship in Asthma. He also has an appointment at the Alfred Hospital as a senior medical specialist in the Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology service (AACI).

Dr Pham has a range of research experience in lung disease including a Masters of Public Health (MPH) and a previous appointment as an epidemiology research associate at Imperial College London, investigating the effects of incinerator fumes on child birth outcomes. He is currently undertaking a PhD investigating asthma in ethnic populations, carried out at the Allergy and Lung Health Unit (ALHU) at the Melbourne of University.

His PhD work was recently awarded the 2020 NHMRC Gustav Nossal Award, for the top PhD grant in Australia in the field of clinical medicine and science.

Dr Pham also has a strong interest in teaching, currently working as a Clinical Lecturer at Monash University, teaching medical students in bedside clinical medicine as well as Biostatistics and Epidemiology.
